I had the Pillar Implants put in for a year now. They have not only moved my pallete down lower so I now snore longer and louder, but they have also affected my saliva glands, so I now have permanent Dry Mouth, so my tongue sticks to the back of my throat when I sleep. I have seen six different doctors, including the one who originally put them in, and they say that they are not removable, because it will leave a hole through my pallete, into my sinuses. Before you decide to have these, try any other less permanent means. I haven't been able to find any negative stories about them, and I would be interested if any one else has had any problems with them.
