Mucinex 600 or 1200 mg is the OTC medication or expectorant that loosens chest/plegm congestion. Obviously can't take it indefinetly but can check to see if chest congestion is your cause for snoring although I doubt that it is the case. Phone or see your Doc/Nurse practioner. You may have allergies and if you do you may have to take preventive action like reduce dust mites in bed/sheets etc. Check the web to see how one can do that. Good luck. Cheers
